About the course
Course content
This course is an advanced class in the treatment of microeconomic research questions. We discuss personal decisions about savings and loans and how decisions are made under uncertainty. The students are further introduced to financial market adaptations, where we discuss, among other things, why financial capital is distributed on different assets.
Learning outcome
Students should have some knowledge about decision making under uncertainty, and should be able to apply this theory to analyze personal decisions about savings and loans.
Learning methods and activities
2 hours of lectures every week and 2 hours of practical assignment every second week.
Compulsory activity: 1 approved term paper that can be written as a joint project by up to 4 students.
Compulsory assignments
- One approved term paper.

SØK1000, SØK1001 and SØK1002.
