Master Thesis in Economics
About
About the course
Course content
The Master thesis topic is individually selected by the students and can be any topic from the field of economics as long as it is approved by the department.
Learning outcome
The purpose of the Master thesis is to provide the student with the skills necessary to conduct independent analyses of economic research problems. The thesis must rely on an economic reasoning. Purely descriptive theses will not be accepted. A detailed list which presents directions for the Master thesis can be obtained from the department.
Learning methods and activities
Individual supervision is an important part of the Master thesis project, and is mandatory for all students working on their Master thesis. The students should write their Master thesis when the mandatory courses are completed. The estimated workload of the Master thesis is one semester. It can either be completed over two semesters parallel to the individually selected courses, or during one semester, after completing the individually selected courses.
