About the course
Course content
Geographic Information Systems (GIS) from a technical point of view. Spatial data models, topology, network operations, cartographic generalization, information theory and other elements that are behind a GIS.
Learning outcome
Knowledge on principle and methods for modelling, handling, analyzing and presentation of geographical information.
Learning methods and activities
A project during the semester counts 50%. If there is a re-sit examination, the examination form may be changed from written to oral.
