Traffic data collection, analysis and presentation. Traffic management. Traffic flow theory. Capacity and quality of traffic flow. Intersections. Traffic signals. Parking design. Traffic and driver information. Field equipment and driving simulator. Introduction to transport informatics.

Learning outcome

To provide knowledge of traffic engineering and traffic management in order to optimize the traffic flow in the road network.

Learning methods and activities

Lectures, workshops and exercises. If there is a re-sit examination, the examination form may be changed from written to oral.
