About the course

Course content

The project topic may be of a reviewing or research type, or connected to a specific building or project in the design or construction phase. A short course in research methods is included as a part of the project work. Project topics may be within building physics, building or refurbishment technology, building materials, masonry structures, fire safety, building acoustics, facility management, or combinations of these. The project work may be conducted individually or through student groups and shall result in a project report.

Learning outcome

To convey in-depth knowledge in a confined field within building and material engineering, training in project planning and collection and use of information, together with training in written communication and reporting according to accepted standards..

Learning methods and activities

The project work is performed as an independent work under supervision.
