About the course

Course content

The project topic may be of a reviewing or research kind, or connected to a specific case of infrastructure under planning, construction or operation. Project topics could be within planning, construction, operation or maintenance of transportation infrastructure. The result of the project work is a project report. The specialization project might possibly be a pilot study for the following master thesis.

Learning outcome

Specialization within a particular topic by using scientific methods. This includes data collection and handling, literature search and review, as well as combining this with theoretical knowledge. Further, the student has to complete a comprehensive project, including to prepare a plan with milestones, point out results and write a report based on existing norms.

Learning methods and activities

The project work is performed as an independent work under supervision.
