About the course

Course content

For rehabilitation of road it is important to have a holistic perspective to obtain a best possible result for the available budget. Sentral topic will be: Geometric design in rehabilitation projects, survey methods for existing roars, material testing and modeling of pavement performance, analyses and structural design of rehabilitated roads, pavement management systems (PMS), winter maintenance (friction, salting, gritting, ploughing og snow) and maintenance of technical instiallations (tunnels, bridges, etc).

Learning outcome

Give knowledge about central aspects of rehabilitation and maintenance of roads.

Learning methods and activities

Lectures, written exercises, project work. If there is a re-sit examination, the examination form may be changed from written to oral. Late examination will be held within the examination term.
