Course content

The project topic may be of a reviewing or research type, or connected to a specific building or construction project in the design or construction phase. Project topics may be within Construction Engineering, Production Technology, Productivity, or combinations of these. The project work may be conducted individually or through student groups and shall result in a project report.

Learning outcome

The student will specialise in a selected topic.

Knowledge:
Use scientific methods, e.g. collecting knowledge through literature study and information search, field studies at building or construction sites, and combine this with theoretical knowledge.

Skills:
The student can perform an independent project work, including project plan with milestones, intermediate reporting and writing a report according to accepted standards.

General competence:
Documented scientific qualifications through completion of a project report in a field of research.

Learning methods and activities

The project work is performed as an independent work under supervision.
Mandatory participation in the course Research Methods held at the beginning of the semester.
