Course content
Biosynthesis of triglycerids, phospholipids and isopentene derived lipids. Aminoacids and nucleotide metabolism. Catalytic and regulatory strategies of the cells. Catabolite repression, allosteri, covalent modification, cascade reactions, hormone control, signal transduction and isoenzymes. Transcription control. Integrated metabolism.
Learning outcome
Give an overview of biosynthesis of biomolecules with emphasis on regulation of metabolic processes, on various levels.
Learning methods and activities
Lectures, laboratory exercises, reports. If there is a re-sit examination, the examination form may be changed from written to oral.
