About the course

Course content

The students shall carry out a laboratory project work connected to research programs in biopolymer chemistry, molecular genetic, microbiology, biochemical engineering, environmental biotechnology or food science.

Learning outcome

The aim is that the students shall gain theoretical knowledge and experimental experience within central topics of biotechnology. They shall also gain experience in project planning, collection of scientific information, and oral and written presentations.

Learning methods and activities

The laboratory project work is carried out individually or in small groups of students (normally two) under the supervision of a professor.
