About the course

Course content

Half of the course is concerned with image syntesis (computer graphics) and half of the course is on image analysis (image processing). Graphics: graphical systems, graphical primitives, geometric transformations. viewing transformations, virtual reality. Image processing: linear filtering, histogram techniques, Fourier transformation, restoration, segmentation, classification

Learning outcome

The students shall be given a firm basis in the fundamental methods and techniques of computer graphics and image processing. Practical and theoretcal exercises shall help the learning process.

Learning methods and activities

Lectures and exercises. Parts of the lectures will be in English. If there is a re-sit examination, the examination form may change from written to oral.
