Course content

Image prcessing methods to support computer vision in 2D and 3D; structural properties; Estimation of orientation; structural/model based methods for computer vision; models; recognition; Other image modalities; SAR, thermal images, range images, stereo vision, multi-sensor fusion; combining information; measurement extraction; applications and examples; inspection, navigation, pick-and-place, pose estimation.

Learning outcome

To understand Computer Vision as a concept, with emphasis on structural methods for implementing such functionality.

Learning methods and activities

Lectures and exercises. Exercises will count 30% in the final grade. If there is a re-sit examination, the examination form may change from written to oral.
