About the course

Course content

The projects in this specialization topic are divided into the following groups: Energy flexible HVAC systems and district heating (Rolf Ulseth), Heat pumps for climatization (Jørn Stene), Intelligent and energy sufficient buildings (Vojislav Novakovic), Modelling and simulation of HVAC systems (Rasmus Høseggen), Indoor climate, health, well being and productivity (Sten Olaf Hanssen), HVAC-systems in practise (Hans Martin Mathisen), Air flow pattern in rooms and buildings (Per Olaf Tjelflaat), Safety and fire ventilation (Per Olaf Tjelflaat).

Learning outcome

The specialization project will give the students knowledge and skills in analyzing and solving professional problems of scientific and technical nature, including reporting of the achieved results.

Learning methods and activities

Guided independent self studies and a theoretical or practical project work. The mark is set based on the project work. The guidance and advice are in English when students who do not speak Norwegian take the course.
