About the course

Course content

The specialization topic consists of a course of 7,5 study points, made up of two subjects, each 3,75 study points. At least one of the basic subjects is recommended selected. The following basic subjects are to be selected (3,75 study points):
- Energy Supply of Buildings.
- Indoor Climate and Air Conditioning.
Other recommended subjects are (3,75 study points):
- Building Automation.
- Heat Pump Engineering.
- Ventilation for industry, fire and safety.
- Building acoustics - room acoustics and noise.
- Building rehabilitation.

Learning outcome

The course focus on optimal thermal energy supply and efficiency in buildings and the goal is good indoor climate that ensure health and performance with a minimal strain on the ambient environment from HVAC installations and systems.

Learning methods and activities

The subjects will be arranged as study groups, small seminars, lectures, laboratory work and/or self studies. Marks are set based on an oral exam in the theoretical subjects. The lectures and exercises are partly given in English when students who do not speak Norwegian take the course. Postponed exams in the subject part will be held within the end of the exam period.
