About

About the course

Course content

The course consists of two themes at 3.75 ECTS credits each. Choice of themes is done in consultation with the supervisor of the chosen specialization project. Themes should normally be chosen among the themes offered by the Department of Electric Power Engineering.
If the nature of the specialization project gives a scientific reason to choose themes from other departments at NTNU, this may be accepted.

Learning outcome

The specialization course will give the students knowledge and skills in analyzing and solving energy related problems of scientific and technical nature. The course is supposed to be closely related to the chosen specialization project.

Learning methods and activities

The teaching of the themes may be given as lectures, exercises, seminars or guided self-tuition. Some themes have compulsory exercises and laboratory work. Each theme is given in English if students who do not speak Norwegian are following the theme. The themes ELK-12 and ELK-20 are evaluated by written exams. Re-sit examination is held within the end of the exam period.
