Course content
Fundamental operation of simple circuits with transistors and diodes. Practical exercises in lab and through project work. Lectures on applications of electronics in advanced systems.
Learning outcome
The students shall have dimensioned and realized simple elctronic circuits. By personal experience they shall have learned how electronic circuits may be used to realized a functionality in a larger system.
Learning methods and activities
Lectures, mandatory exercises, lab and project work. Portfolio assessment is the basis for the grade in the course. The portfolio includes a final written exam (50%) and lab/project work (50%). The results for the parts are given in %-scores, while the entire portfolio is assigned a letter grade. At a resit examination, written examination may be changed to oral.
