About the course
Course content
The course will focus on current trends in nanoelectronics with special focus on functional electronic and magnetic properties in nanostructured materials. The academic focus is: one-electron transistors and one-electron electronics, magnetoelectronics and spintronics. Emerging fields, including molecular electronics, and memory technology will be discussed.
Learning outcome
The course gives an overview of modern questions on future electronics, and highlights electronic materials for applications in future informationtechnology with emphasis on nanoelectronics.
Learning methods and activities
Lectures, excercises, student seminars, and self-study. If there is a re-sit examination, the examination form may be changed from written to oral. The course may be held in English.

Recommended previous knowledge
TFE4145 or equivalent, and TFE4215 Solid State Materials and Nanostructures or TFY4220 Solid State Physics.
