About the course

Course content

This course is based on self studies and colloquia. depending on the enrolled student one or several topics in mineral deposit geology are chosen. Part of the course will address relevant prospecting methods perhaps combined with practical field exercises.
The student is required to give a 45 min oral lecture during the course that typically is based on one or several scientific papers.

Learning outcome

The student will be provided with expert knowledge on prospecting techniques, formation and appearance of selected economic mineral deposits.

Learning methods and activities

Lectures (by the students!) and self studies. Lectures are held in English if required. During the semester, the student is required to write a report comprising 5000 words that will count 50% of the final grade. Oral examination counts 50 % of final grade.
