About the course
Course content
Acquisition, storage, presentation and analysis of geodata. The course includes gaussian stochastic fields and statistical methods on spatial variables. Concepts like variogram, kriging and simulation are discussed.
Learning outcome
Management of localized data (geodata) linked to geological resources by the use of Geographic Information Systems.
Learning methods and activities
Compulsory field work and exercises 1 week. The field course is mandatory and take place before the teaching starts.
