About the course

Course content

Specialization is offered in a variety of topics related to geology and rock engineering, such as: waste disposal in soil and rock, use of mineral resources as construction material, technical and economical aspects of mineral resources, economical and environmental optimization of mines and rock excavations, underground and open pit mining, various aspects of ore and mineral dressing.

Learning outcome

The course will teach the students to work systematically and independently with a specified problem or topic by employing scientific methods. The students will learn how to document their work and expess their results by writing a final project report.

Learning methods and activities

Supervised project work.
