Venture Cup Trøndelag is a regional business plan contest aiming to increase the number of commercialized ideas from Trøndelag, especially from NTNU, HiST and HiNT. The participants will get a broader knowledge in how to start their own company and how to elaborate a professional business plan. The course will commence with the following subjects: a definition of the term entrepreneurship, how to formulate a good business idea, and the challenges regarding entrepreneurship. Next: how to construct a business plan based upon market research, strengths and weaknesses, the organization, business models, strategy, protection, and economical analysis. The course ends with a look on how to carry out the business plan, including funding. The course consists of two tasks. To get a grade the participants need to pass the first one. The second task decides the grade.

Learning outcome

The course will give a basic introduction to entrepreneurship and the elaboration of business plans. The course is open to all students at NTNU and HiST.

Lectures and tasks. The students will get access to a highly competent network of tutors which can be used during the elaboration of the business plan.
