About the course

Course content

This is a larger piece of work designed and written by small study groups, normally 1 - 2 students. The Safety, Health and Environment subject unit offers basically supervision within the following fields:
- Work Environment.
- Ergonomics.
- Environmental Management and Industrial Ecology.
- Safety Management.
A list of possible projects will be available before the students need to choose specialization. Each project might have its own requirement for 4th year courses and needed small courses in the specialization course. The project supervisor need to approve the students choise of small courses. The actual academic content will vary with the chosen project.

Learning outcome

The students will learn to develop in-depth insight into core issues of health, safety and environment research. The course will give the student qualification for performing empirical field studies or experimental studies based on scientific methods on research questions relevant for the specialization.

Required previous knowledge

Students that take this project course need at the same time to take TIØ4525 Safety, Health and Environment - Specialization Course. In addition they need to have the following courses:
TIØ4185 Safety, Health and Environment - Non-Industrial Work Environment, TIØ4190 Safety, Health and Environment - Industrial Work Environment, TIØ4195 Safety, Health and Environment - Environmental Science and Management, TIØ4200 Safety, Health and Environment Management, TIØ4205 Safety, Health and Environment - Methods and Tools in SHE Practice.
