About the course
Course content
Strategy and International Business Development is a specialization that focuses on problems associated with the fields strategy, international marketing, mangement and development of global value chains and innovation and product development processes that strengthen the international competitiveness of firms. The student's choice of subjects of specialization and project must be approved by the institute before the work starts. A list of proposed subjects are distributed in the spring semester. Some project proposals might require specific 4th year courses.
Learning outcome
The project's learning objectives aer that the students shall be able to analyse and solve problems related to strategy and development of firm's international activities. It is expected that the students have insight and understanding of the relevant literature on the area and are able to solve practical management challenges with a scientific and reliable method.
Learning methods and activities
Independent project work under supervision by a member of the scientific staff. The work should be presented in a scientific report and is evaluated after scientific criteria. The students can do the work alone or in groups of up to three members.
Required previous knowledge
The specialization requires TIØ4265 - Strategic Management and either TIØ4235 - Industrial Marketing and International Business or TIØ4180 - Innovation and Information Management.
The students must also choose TIØ4567 - Strategy and International Business Development SC.
