About

About the course

Course content

Strategic Purchasing and Supply Management is a specialization focusing on challenges related to the fields of purchasing management, supply management (including logistics management) as well as national and international supply chains and networks.
Regarding the choice of theoretical courses, the default arrangement is that the student chooses the following two courses of 3.75 ECTS-credits: TIØ24 Research methods and TIØ25 Purchasing and supply management. TIØ25 is compulsory. TIØ24 may be replaced by another theoretical course if this is particularly relevant for the chosen project or master assignment (for example TIØ5 or TIØ6 if the assignment requires specific background knowledge on optimization or economic analysis). Replacement of TIØ24 by another course must be approved by the coordinator of the specialization. Approval may require specific previous knowledge. Especially students that wish to combine qualitative and quantitative approaches in their project and master assignment are encouraged to contact the coordinator of the specialization in an early stage in order to establish the possibilities for this as well as the implications for the courses that must be chosen.
