Course content
Resources (forests, forest plantations, recovered paper and annual/biannual plants). Wood structure and chemistry. The structure and properties of wood fibers. Manufacture of paper fibers. Manufacture of paper and other wood fiber based materials. Biocomposites. Bioenergy and biofuels from wood.
Learning outcome
Introduction to industrial use of wood and similar raw materials for energy and materials.
Learning methods and activities
Lectures and compulsory laboratory excercises. If there is a re-sit examination, the examination form may change from written to oral.
