Environmental Engineering and Reactor Technology, Specialization Project
About
About the course
Course content
The course consists of project work within topics such as reactor technology, membranes, CO2-capture, gas purification, crystallization and particle design, optimization and process design, and thermodynamics. The project will be connected to ongoing research activities in the Environmental Engineering and Reactor Technology Group, or in cooperation with external research institutes and industry. The project work will include definition and limitation of the work to be performed, literature search, time schedule for the project, experimental work or computer-based calculations, and interpretation and reporting of results.
Learning outcome
The aim is to give the student a broad understanding and a in depth knowledge within the field. It should also provide excercise in independent planning of projects, oral presentations, report writing and a systematic handling of field related information.
Learning methods and activities
The laboratory or project work may be done individually or in small groups and normally with weekly meetings with their tutor.
Recommended previous knowledge
Basic knowledge in Chemical Process Technology.
