About the course
Course content
This course is assembled from two modules of 3.75 study points each, all together 7.5 study points. Each student shall in agreement with the adviser for the project work select two modules of 3.75 study points each from the following list: TMM2 Product Simulation, TMM12 Smart machines, TMM14 ICT for Integrated Operations. For the industrial ICT specialization at least one of the modules above must be selected. As module no. 2 may the student in agreement with the adviser select among modules of size 3.75 study points from other specializations at IPM (TMM4505, TMM4515, TMM4525, TMM4535) or from other departments.
Learning outcome
This course gives deeper understanding in key subjects related to the actual product development project work.
Learning methods and activities
The modules are thought as guided self studies accompanied with a few seminars during the semester. The lectures and exercises are in English when students who do not speak Norwegian take the course. Postponed exam is held within the end of the exam period. If there is a re-sit examination, the examination form may change from written to oral.
