About the course
Course content
The course consists of two topics each 3,75 stp. Elective topics are:
Environmental challenges in shipping;
Decision support in marine safety;
Logistics of marine units and operations;
Fleet management and supply chains;
Equipment and techniques in fishing and fish farming;
Underwater technology.
Learning outcome
The course shall give in-depth knowledge within design and operation of vessels and systems for fisheries and aquaculture.
Learning methods and activities
The topics are teached by lectures, exercises and small project assignments. Postponed exam is held within the end of the exam period.
Recommended previous knowledge
All mandatory subjects in the 3rd and 4th year for the "Fisheries and Aquaculture" specialization.
