About the course

Course content

The course has a theoretical part, including design, functionality and use of computer hardware and software.
Four subjects will be integrated in a design project:
A) Use of internet, information collection, e-mail, news groups, HTML-coding, shearing of documents.
B) Presentation, editing, layout, use of pictures.
C) 3D modeling, use of different CAD programs.
D) Technical drawing.

Learning outcome

The course will give the students an understanding of information technology, its use and influence on the society. It will give an introduction in use of information technology in the design process, and operational skill in use of computers for information research, presentation and design.

Learning methods and activities

Lectures, exercises, project, model making and an oral presentation of the results. All phases of the project will be presented by use of computer technology. The course will be coordinated with AAR4207 Form and Colour BC 2.
