About the course

Course content

Inovative use of wooden materials with focus on the interplay between aesthetics, function, wooden materials and production processes.
One or more assignments where students experiment with different wooden materials and production processes. Working with sketch models and prototypes is emphasised.

Learning outcome

This course aims to develop understanding of innovative use of wooden materials in design and architecture. The project assigmnents will also give practical experience in working with wood.

Learning methods and activities

Lectures and supervised project. A verbal presentation of the results is included in the project assignments. The course is given in English if necessary.
