About the course
Course content
The course gives an introduction to basic methods for analysis of geophysical data and encompasses discrete Fouriertransforms and sampling, linear filters, least-squares inversion, deconvolution, two-dimensional Fouriertransforms and the Radontransform. A short introduction to the removal of multiple reflections based on wave-equation methods is also given.
Learning outcome
The sudents are expected to be able to explain the theory of, and apply basic methods of geophysical analysis.
Learning methods and activities
Lectures, theoretical and computer based exercises. The lectures are held in english if international masterstudents attend. Re-sit examinations might be oral.
