About the course

Course content

Repetition of the Laplace transformation. Solutions of the diffusivity equation. Elementary discussion of Bessel functions. Flow period diagnostic. Limiting equations. Well test interpretation in homogeneous, fractured and layered reservoirs. Horizontal wells. The pressure derivative. The effect of anisotropy. Multi-phase flow. Multi-rate testing. Constant pressure testing.

Learning outcome

Obtain practical and theoretical knowledge of well test interpretation. Be able to select and apply the proper mathematical model. Interpretation of special well tests.
