About the course
Course content
The student may select two topics, each of 3,75 credit points from the following list:
Production lab. techn.(HA), Modelling and simulation of production processes (MG), Flow in production wells (HA), Nature gas technology (JSG), Production technology (JSG), Process technology (JSG), Field PUD (Plan for development and operation) (MG). A final report summarizing the results of the topics is required. One week field course may be included. Field courses which are offered are: Svalex, 3,75 sp, Petrox, 3,75 sp and Omanex, 3,75 sp.
Learning outcome
The course gives a deeper understanding of problems within petroleum production.
Learning methods and activities
The topics are given as lectures, eventually with exercises, seminars or self studies. Postponed exam is held within the end of the exam period.
Recommended previous knowledge
It is provided that the student has completed all courses that are listed as obligatory for the specialization petroleum production in the study plan, or gets an approval from the teacher.
