Course - Radio Systems, Introduction - TTT4200
Radio Systems, Introduction
About
About the course
Course content
Wireless communication systems, radio waves, antennas, transmission lines, matching networks, receive- and transmit amplifiers, noise and distortion.
Learning outcome
The subject will give a broad survey of components included in the "physical layer" of different wireless systems. The student will learn how signals propagate through the main components from "transmitter" to "receiver", and the way these components operate and cooperate. The course also gives the first introduction to analysis and design of selected system components.
Learning methods and activities
Lectures and exercises. If there is a re-sit examination, the examination form may be changed from written to oral.
Compulsory assignments
- Exercises
Recommended previous knowledge
Knowledge in electrical engineering fundamentals like TET4100 Circuit Analysis and TTT4100 Electronic Circuits or equivalent.
