TTT4551 - Acoustics, Specialization Project

Course content

Technology for converting electromagnetic waves to acoustic and acoustic waves to electromagnetic (loudspeakers and microphones), computer assisted sound generation (virtual sound sources). The applications comprise. Acoustic waves for communication and remote sensing in marine environments. Sound as an environmental factor- noise abatement. Audio technology and subjective perseption of sound.

Learning outcome

The student shall make an in-depth study of an acoustic theme using scientific work methods. This involves the search for completing material through litterature surveys and combining results from such with personal knowledge.
