Course content

The Specialization project in the area of Water and Wastewater Engineering aimes at letting the student go in depth in one of the sub-areas of water and wastewater engineering including collection of additional knowledge through the litterature and other sources and combine this with own knowledge. The student shall also perform a project work, that can be an investigation, a pre-project analysis or an experimental investigation including writing a report from the project.

Learning outcome

Knowledge
Student is expected to obtain:
- In-depth understanding of a specific topic within water and wastewater engineering.

Skills
Student can:
- Collect knowledge through literature studies and other sources of knowledge and combine it with other information
- Carry out individual project work (review, per-project. experimental work)
- Develop project plan with mile stones, reporting of results and writing of project reports.

General compentece
Student understands:
- Importance of selected topic within water and environmental engineering dicipline.

Learning methods and activities

Individual project work with supervision. Mandatory participation in the course Research Methods held at the beginning of the semester.
