Course content

The course gives a basic introduction to German syntax, morphology and phonetics.

Learning outcome

Students should gain insight into the relationship between form and function, the most important parts of speech as well as the German sound system.

Learning methods and activities

Lectures with discussions and assignments.

Compulsory assignments

  • Oral test in phonetics (ca 15 minutes)
  • 1 written assignment (2-4 pages)
