About the course

Course content

The course gives a basic introduction to using quantitative methods. This includes questions concerning how to decide and draw samples, how to develop and/or apply research instruments, how to conduct a survey, analyze and interpret the data material collected.

Learning outcome

Give the students basic knowledge and skills in collecting and analyzing quantitative data.

Learning methods and activities

Lectures and practical exercises will be provided. Exercises will be carried out using existing sets of data. SPSS will be used in the data treatment procedures.
The course is reserved for students admitted to a particular programme ("studierettskrav"). Exhange students interested in the course must consult the Department for possible admission.
