About the course

Course content

The course provides an introduction to currently important topics in evolutionary ecology. Subjects covered include evolution of sexes, hermaphrodites, sexual selection (occurrence, models, costs and limiting factors). The group work is based on current scientific literature, and requires active participation from the students. ZO 3032 is concentrated in time and lasts 2-3 weeks.

Learning outcome

On completion of the course the students should be familiar with currently important topics in evolutionary ecology.

Learning methods and activities

Lectures: 9 hours
Group work: 18 hours, mandatory
The course is taught every second year, next time in 2012
