Topics within Evolutionary Biology and Systematics/Taxonomy are part of a wide spectrum of topics, with problems relating to molecular processes as well as the dynamics of ecosystems.
You can choose topics within molecular ecology and evolution in plants or animals, comparative phylogenetic analyses of morphology or ecology, molecular phylogenics, phylogeography and systematics in plants and animals.
Admission requirements for Evolutionary Biology and Systematics/Taxonomy are one of the following two alternatives:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biology; subject combination Ecology, Ethology, Evolutionary Biology with the following compulsory courses:
After the first three semesters of your Bachelor’s degree programme in Biology, you must choose BI2000, BI 2011, BI 2033, BI2034, BI2040, ZO 2041, MA0002, ST0101, and ST0102.
- Students with a Bachelor’s Degree from other institutions with relevant subject combinations will be evaluated individually.
