Norwegian / Nordic applicants: The programme is not open for Norwegian/Nordic applicants. Emphasis
While the first year of the study consists of basic compulsory and optional courses on graduate level, the second year provides a specialization in Marine Civil Engineering through a specialization project and course. In addition one completive course must be chosen. The specialization is supplemented by a non-technical course. In order to best prepare participants for a role in the value-generative and sustainable development of the coastal and northern regions, the curriculum emphasizes the following areas of activity:
- describing the physical marine environment (wind, waves, current and ice)
- effects of load from the marine environment and load effects on the coast and coastal structures
- the development of coastal and harbour infrastructure
- arctic marine civil engineering.
