Programme Components
In the first semester the Global Politics and Culture students will take the courses GEOG3518 Knowledge Management in a Global Economy, HIST3295 Contemporary International Economic History, KULT3320 Globalization Theory and GEOG3053 Theories of Development and Globalization. The Global Techonlogy Management students will also take GEOG3518, and may choose HIST3295 as an elective course.
In the second semester students within both specializations will take SOS3050 Empirical Research Methods. Global Politics and Culture students will in addition to this take POL3005 Research Design and Methods, and choose one of the three elective courses (see table below).
All students will spend the third semester in a global corporation or organization, during which time they will complete a written report. During this semester they will also take the distant learning course SANT3507 Globalization, Culture and Identity.
The 30 credit Master's thesis should be completed in the fourth semester of study.
