MSc in Marine Technology
- Programme Structure
This two-year Master of Science programme has two specializations, who each offer three and four main profiles:
Specialization 1: Marine Structures
Main Profiles:
- Marine Structures
- Marin Hydrodynamics
- Marin Cybernetics
Specialization 2: Marine Systems
Main Profiles:
- Marine Operation Technology
- Marine Machinery
- Marine Systems Design
- Renewable Marine Resources
Students who choose the main profiles Marine Machinery or Marine Systems must complete the spring semester of the first-year course at TUDelft in the Netherlands, or throuh a stay at another university abroad. Information about this will be given during the first semester.
Credit system
The credit system now used at NTNU is based upon a workload of 60 credits for each academic year. This corresponds to European Credit Transfer System credits (ECTS). The ECTS system facilitaties student mobility and international curriculum development and is system is based on the student workload required to achieve the objectives of a programme.
