Where do our building and environmental engineers work?

Consulting and research
Many of our graduate engineers develop and employ methods for the design of projects focusing on function, the environment, economy and design. Our Norwegian firms have a high academic profile and a good international reputation. This career path is particularly well suited for those who wish to make the most of their theoretical knowledge.

Contracting
In Norway, many small and large contracting firms execute the practical building and construction work. There are smaller contractors everywhere, and a few large multi-national groups with branches and projects acoss Norway and the world. Our candidates occupy leading positions all across this spectrum.

Builders and real estate managers
Many of our graduates work with real estate development and private development companies such as: Statsbygg, the Norwegian Public Roads Administration, and the Norwegian National Rail Administration, municipalities, finance institutions and insurance. These are private and public giants that manage enormous assets. Suitable for those who are interested in the combination of technology, finance, project management and leadership.

Technology enterprises and oil companies
A large number of enterprises work with challenging tasks within the investigation and development of materials, products and ranges of application. In relation to operation and development tasks, the oil companies are in demand of numerous civil engineers.
