Do you want to solve current societal issues with the help of social science and humanistic research?

The PhD-programme in Interdisciplinary Studies of Culture educates students from different backgrounds to get involved in and contribute to solving current societal problems through research in the social sciences and the humanities.

The PhD-programme offers two specializations in either gender and diversity or in science and technology studies (STS), corresponding to the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies of Culture's two research centres.

The PhD is a three-year study that builds on a five-year Master's degree or other equivalent education. The programme consists of a coursework component of at least 30 ECTS and a doctoral thesis.
