Who can borrow?

The NTNU University Library is a public library and anyone can borrow from our collections. Our primary users are students and staff at NTNU and the library's partners.

To borrow or order literature, you must be registered as a borrower with us.

What can you borrow?

Most of the documents in our collections can be borrowed. Loans are free.

The exceptions to this are:
  • Encyclopedias, valuable documents and materials published before 1900 are generally not lent out.
  • Each of the branch libraries may choose to impose limitations on loans from some of the collections and material types.

What can you borrow from other libraries

If we do not have material you need, we can order it from other libraries.

We offer this service free to our primary users, but other users must generally cover the cost of the order.
