Poster presentations

A poster presentation is in many cases at least as valuable as an oral presentation in terms of getting people in touch with each other and conveying important results. The poster presentations therefore define a very important segment of VPH2014.

A Virtual Physiological Human will stand upon the shoulders of experimental biology. We therefore strongly encourage the submission of poster presentations presenting experimental data that challenge our current computational conceptualisations or otherwise provide the basis for new and important modelling efforts. Likewise, we strongly encourage that more theoretically inclined poster presentations are clear on model premises and hypotheses so that they can be confronted by those in possession of relevant biological expertise.

Poster guidelines

There will be electronic posters on 50" widescreen (W:111cmxH:62,54cm), and the poster may include live animations. Please use the poster guidelines to make sure that you have the right format for electronic posters and animations. (The guidelines will be available August 1).

Be sure to include the abstract title, author names, and the institution where the work was completed, centered at the top of the poster.

The participants selected for poster presentations will recieve an email before the conference with instructions on how to upload the e-poster before your travel to the VPH2014.

To prepare your ePoster

To prepare your ePoster, please follow the guidelines in this document.

By allowing animations and video presentations the ePoster gives you much more  flexibility in getting the message through compared to the standard paper poster. When picking the winner of the Best Poster Award, the committee will pay particular attention to how well the new capabilities offered by the ePoster format have been exploited.
