Energy consumption and -supply

Our activity related to energy consumption, energy economizing and energy efficiency improvement by development of energy systems is quite comprehensive. The aim is to contribute to socio-economic use of energy resources and to reduction of negative impact on the environment, caused by energy consumption. Further, to stimulate development and implementation of energy efficient technology, resulting in a good and secure indoor climate and working environment. This is a multidiscipline area founded on holistic evaluation, where we focus especially on efficient energy consumption in buildings and energy flexible climate systems.

Our specific objectives are to decide parameters influencing on the total energy system, to develop methods for design, construction and operation of energy supply systems, buildings and air conditioning plants. Further, we aim at developing systems and products resulting in environment- and resource-friendly use of energy on a varying energy market.

Considering the total energy system, we concentrate on the following special fields: energy flexible systems for heating and cool climate, central heating- and cooling-plants, and active and passive use of solar energy
