Geir Arne Hjelle
Senior Data Scientist, Amesto NextBridge AS
Hjelle is a data scientist with a background from theoretical mathematics, statistics and programming (PhD from NTNU, 2006). He is looking to constantly develop himself and to put his skills to good use. He is very active in the data community by contributing to “Lær kidsa koding!”, as a volunteer with Data for Good Norway (working on data science projects with a social impact and as a freelance author for Real Python. In 2006 – 2009 he was a post doc at Washington University, and has working experience from Thomson Reuters Point Carbon and the Norwegian Mapping Authority.

Heidi Anett Øvergård Beistad
Stiklestad National Cultural Center and Scandic Stiklestad, Head of Department/ First curator
Beistad is a historian and museum curator. She has a PhD in history from NTNU from 2016. Her field of research is the history of the medieval Norse Church. She has worked at a number of different museums and is currently employed as head of history and chief curator at Stiklestad National Culture Centre.

Tricia Larose
Advisor of Avioation Medicine, Norwegian Armed Forces Medical Services
Tricia Larose have a PhD in Medicine from NTNU (2015), and has worked at NTNU both as a researcher and as postdoctoral fellow. Her research interest have led her to a very interesting advisor position in the Norwegian Armed Forces Medical Services. Where she works at an institute that contains all aspects of aviation medicine and provides aviation medical examinations for civilian and military crewmembers and is a military aviation certification authority.

Cecilie Baar
Career advisor, NTNU Career
Baar is a former PhD student in pharmacogenetics at the Faculty of Medicine at NTNU. However, she changed her career and is today working as a career adviser for students. She works with individual counselling and feedback on the steps of the job search process, such as writing of CV and cover letter, as well as the job interview. As her main interest is competency mapping and transferrable skills, she is eager to take on the challenge to talk to young researchers on how to describe your PhD competence outside academia.

Vibeke Nossum
Project and marketing manager Environment, COWI AS
Vibeke Nossum have a PhD from NTNU in Physiology (2003) and, has now, almost 20 years of experience with environmental consulting in many fields. She started to work in Thelma AS (a company established on research done at SINTEF), before she shifted to COWI in 2011. Nossum has a National responsibility for project portfolio, market and development in COWI Environment with long and broad experience from personnel management. She is concerned with business development and profitability in projects in addition to a strong environmental focus with the development of a sustainable society.

Janne Bohnhorst
Fagdirektør, The Norwegian Environment Agency.
Janne Bohnhorst holds a PhD in Medicine from the University of Oslo, 2002. She has worked as a post doc and researcher at NTNU, before she started a career at the Norwegian Environment Agency where she has worked for about ten years.

Trond Erik Vee Aune
CEO at Vectron Biosolutions AS
Trond Erik holds a PhD in recombinant protein production in bacteria from the Department of Biotechnology at NTNU. Trond Erik is a co-founder of Vectron Biosolutions and has led the company as its chief executive officer since its foundation. Vectron develops and sells technologies and services for robust and cost-efficient production of proteins in bacteria. Under Trond Erik's leadership, Vectron has become recognized as a leading service provider to the pharma and industrial enzyme industries with a steady growth. Trond Erik is passionate about innovation of scientific results and how technological solutions are required to reduce the spiraling costs of drug development.

Keith Munkejord
Co-founder and Behavior Change Specialist at BehaviorLab
Keith holds a PhD at Dept. of Psychology at NTNU. His PhD focused on how employees combine the use of different channels internally to communicate effectively to solve business challenges and problems. After his PhD he founded Frontal Solutions where he worked on measuring the business impact of HR and communication initiatives. After that he joined IMG NORD, a company focusing on delivering communication services and consultancy related to internal communication. Today Keith works at BehaviorLab. A new startup. The company delivers behavior focused communication and processes to make change happen. He believes that having a PhD in the field has given him skills that have helped him understand, approach and solve business critical challenges outside academia.

Priska Helene Hiller
Head engineer, The Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate
Priska works with natural hazards at the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate in Trondheim, Norway. She completed her PhD studies about riprap design on the downstream slopes of rockfill dams at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in 2017. After studying to a master’s degree in civil engineering at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zürich), Priska worked as a consultant at Sweco Norway before starting her PhD research in 2013.

Soubdabeh Khodambashi
Enterprise Architect, Senior Technical Advisor, Chair of IEEE YP WIE
Soudabeh Khodambashi currently works as Information Architect at Helseplattformen and acts as senior technical advisor at +impact. She holds a PhD in information systems from NTNU (2016). She has previously held positions as Enterprise Architect at Trondheim Kommune and as project manager of the WeLead project at NTNU. Within the IEEE scientific community, Soudabeh has been Chair of IEEE women in engineering in Norway and is currently Chair of the IEEE Young professional’s affinity group in Norway.

Bjørn Andersen
Professor, Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Norwegian University of Technology and Science, NTNU
Bjørn Andersen is a professor of quality and project management at NTNU. He serves as Director of Project Norway and is a member of the steering group of the Concept research program. Andersen is the master program director of the new experienced based Master of Technology Management and Digital Transformation and a has extensive experience delivering continuing education courses from NTNU to the workforce.

Herdis Hølleland
Herdis Hølleland, Senior adviser, Ministry of education and Resarch, Ph.D./UiO
Hølleland is a researcher by training with an interdisciplinary background in archaeology, heritage studies and cultural history. She has worked in heritage management, as a researcher at the Norwegian Institute for Cultural Heritage Research (NIKU) and been a visiting scholar at Stanford University. She is passionate about research policy, and work as a senior adviser at the Norwegian Ministry of Education, with particular emphasis on research careers, gender equality and diversity.

Cathrine Meland
Head of department of Research and Innovation, The Ministry of Trade and Industry and Fisheries
Cathrine Meland has a degree in political science from the University of Bergen. She has a long career in policy development and has worked 17 years in the Ministry of Health and Care Services where she spent the last 7 years as head of department. In 2018, Meland started as head of operations in the Ministry of Trade and Industry. (The Research and Innovation department contributes to policies regarding research and innovation. Its focus is on profitable growth and increased use of research results, increased innovation activity, more use of design and increased use of industrial property rights.)

Kristin Wiedemann Wieland
Executive Director R&D, Innovation and Digitalization, The Norwegian Association of Local and Regional authorities (KS).
Kristin is educated at NTNU and at the Norwegian School of Economics and Business. She has lived and studied in Germany for several years. Later, she has worked for the Municipality of Bærum as a Director general of organization and development, as an executive vice president for Helse Sør-Øst RHF and as an assistant bank manager in Sparebanken NOR. Wieland has also contributed as a mentor in the mentorprogramme of NHH for young leaders, coaching and leadership development. Wieland started in KS in 2018.
