Call for funds for dissemination

Call for funds for dissemination

Program for Bioinformatics (PBI) announces funds for projects that can help to disseminate and develop the use of bioinformatics. In this context, the word project is used in the broadest sense. A project can be anything from a conventional research project to an educational project or presentation project. The projects can be linked to NTNU's existing dissemination activities (Researcher's Night, Science Week, etc.), but it is not a criterion for allocation of funds.

Who can apply?
Anyone who has a project that can promote bioinformatics in a good way. The application can be sendt by a single person or as a group. The applicant must belong to NTNU as an employee or student.

Criteria for the award:
  • The current project is focused on bioinformatics.
  • The applicant is a student or employee at NTNU. A student may apply in the same way as an employee, and opportunities for dissemination will take priority over scientific expertise.
  • The applicant can demonstrate realistic measures for the dissemination of their project.
  • It is encouraged to develop tools and presentations that can stimulate increased interest in bioinformatics at NTNU.
How to apply:
Send an application to the coordinator of PBI containing:

  • Brief description of project (max 1 / 2 A4 page).
  • Brief description of the interchange project and how bioinformatics will be made visible.
  • Budget.
  • Timing of implementation of the dissemination project.
